Ray and I visiting with Emma, our first alpaca. We purchased Emma in 2002,from Mirage Alpacas, but our barn was not complete so Emma agisted at Mirage Alpacas.

Our barn was completed in the early summer of 2003. We had purchased 2 other females from Kilblaan Farm, and all three girls arrived at Spring Pond Farm in July.

Fall is our favorite season and no where is it more beautiful than New England. Spring Pond Farm is in the heart of the Monadnock region and we have beautiful views of the mountains. This is Emma, Posey and Calypso out in the pasture enjoying themselves while we are enjoying the colorful view.

We all know what season follows fall.....WINTER. Winter's in New England can be as unpredictable as they are beautiful. Winter of 2004 saw record snowfalls and below freezing temperatures, which our herd seemed to thoroughly enjoy.

This is some of the herd out enjoying the snow. We keep the paddock areas plowed and shoveled so they can get out and enjoy the snow and cold if they choose.

Spring Pond Farm is located on a dirt road one mile in from Forest Road, which is the paved road the Greenfield State Park is on. We are two miles from the State Park and 3 miles from the center of Greenfield.

You can barely make out the mountains on the horizon after this beautiful snow storm, but the view was breath taking. The fresh wet snow coating the trees and fence rails, with the sun just barely peeking out

Spring and the arrival of new crias. We are awaiting the arrival of our first 2007 cria mid May. This is always an exciting time at Spring Pond Farm waiting to see if our breeding decisions of 2006 are what we were trying to accomplish with our foundation females.

The Wilton Scenic Railroad is closed this season due to the owner passing away unexpectedly. We are hoping that this railroad will continue running in the future.
