Fleece can be sold as raw, roving, yarn, or finished product. Sometimes local hand spinners want to buy raw fleece or roving to make their own products. You can also have a mill make your fleece into roving, yarn, or other finished product. Large co-ops do the same, however, when you send your fleece to a local mill, you will get your own animal's fleece back where as at large co-ops, all of the fiber goes into a large pool and then gets distributed based on how much weight one person sends in. Fleeces from your best animals can also be shown, which is a nice way to participate in a show without having to worry about bringing an animal.
